Gunnar Holmgren, 2023 Pan American Champion MTB, joins the KMC Team!
Canadian rider Gunnar Holmgren (DOB June 23, 1999) will enforce the KMC Mountainbike Racing Team in 2024. This season was the 2nd year in the elite category for Gunnar and he showed his strength with some remarkable strong results.
Several top 20 finishes in the UCI World Series, he won Canada’s first medal of the 2023 Pan Am Games and he finished 5th at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games test event.
Gunnar started riding at age of 5, he competed in mountain bike, road and cyclocross races. Gunnar comes from a sportive family, his mother Lisa Holmgren was a mountainbike racer herself and his father was national coach. Two of his sisters, Isabella and Ava, are also professional cyclists.
We are happy that Gunnar joins our team next year and we look forward to see him riding in the KMC colors.

Besides Gunnar’s ambition to perform well he is also a very nice person. I’m really looking forward to work together with him.”
